Monday Monday

First Chunk, now Baltazar. I feel like I’m working at Seattle Grace! (Except there’s no McDreamy or McSteamy!) Just one day I wonder what it would be like to live in TV world. You know where everyone’s gorgeous and in great shape with designer clothes driving luxury cars to their professionally decorated multi-million dollar homes. Give me Frasier’s apartment, Samantha Jones’ body and wardrobe, Warrick Brown as a boyfriend and a Red Range Rover sport! Yum! Of course my boyfriend spends all day with dead bodies and I’m a sophisticated skank, guess nothing’s perfect.

I had a nice weekend. Friday night I had an amazing dinner at Fish and Farm.  It was a friend’s birthday so we pulled out all the stops. Champagne, dessert….It was a blast and I made some new friends!

Saturday I would not have left the apartment except that Deuce needed a walk so we went to Berkeley (sp?) to check things out. Hey, we both needed a change of scenery. Nice laid back vibe there and lots of dogs so Deuce had a good time.

Between Saturday and Easter Sunday I watched a marathon of reality shows I’m ashamed to say. Al’s still out of town and I’m getting bored. I watched a few episodes of America’s Next Top Model (They were having a model-thon), then Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, 20 Cases of Love Gone Wrong (an E special).  I did fit in a sermon from what I like to call “The Church of the Couch”. It’s where I get my message from the myriad of “TV” preachers. Sometimes it’s a bible-thumping Baptist sermon or a reserved Catholic Mass. (it depends on my mood and the fact that I was baptized twice. I’ll tell that story another day) Anyway, it was finally time to get ready to go to my friend Arlene’s for dinner. I bathed and brushed Deuce, finished him off with some fancy grooming spray then I did the same to me and we were off. The food was great and her family was wonderful. If I can wrestle her sweet potato souffle recipe I’ll share it with you guys.

Anyway, except for the fact that I made Sangria (which came out great by the way) from a mix that’s my weekend in a nutshell. Probably not the glamour you’d expect but give me time, I’ll work up to something!
