Time Change Blues
Poor Baltazar. The “spring forward” is giving him a bit of trouble this week. Personally I think he sounds fine but he says he’s struggling with being tired from losing that hour over the weekend. I wish they made an iced coffee machine. He loves iced coffee and this way we could make it so he could have some whenever he felt like he wanted or needed a jolt.
I enjoyed the show today. I can’t wait to read Geraldo Rivera’s book His Panic. We interviewed him today, if you missed it check it out on the podcast. He brings up some very interesting points about immigration. He may be a bit of an attention hound but he’s been around and I find him very intelligent and informed on all things pop culture and political.
Surprise on us on the Love Trap today. I wasn’t happy about being lied to but I think what happened hit upon a universal theme: closure. I think everyone deserves it. When a couple breaks up, painful as it is, the person doing the dumping has to give the person they’re dumping an opportunity to express their feelings. Not to excess, but at least through one gut-wrenching conversation. I think using technology to get yourself off the hook is rude, unfair and even more hurtful to the person you are leaving behind. I’ve been on both sides of that conversation and it’s not pleasant either way but it must done, period.
I promised Deuce we would go explore Golden Gate Park today but we had a meeting this morning which put me a bit behind schedule and it’s catching up to me so I think we will have to postpone our outing until tomorrow. Okay, I know I am really getting too attached to the dog! In my defense he looks at me like he really understands what I’m saying and sometimes even agrees.
I can’t wait until tomorrow’s show…Gary Spivey! Get your questions ready and start calling. I love listening to his predictions. We are also going to interview Tori Spelling (Donna from 90210) about her new book “sTori Telling”. In it she sets the record straight about what’s true and what’s not about her life and loves in Hollywood. Okay, Deuce and I are going to do his next favorite thing besides a park, we’re going to meet my friend from Chicago and go home and watch a ballgame. I don’t know why but Deuce loves baseball. He’ll actually sit on the couch and watch. Fine with me, I love baseball too. It’s all good as long as he keeps his paws off the remote!
